Portals

As I stepped back from the creation process, I was able to see this thread clearly: a window… a doorway… a portal that invites myself and the viewer to look inward. There is peace to be found when we remember that we don't always have to change or fix ourselves. I think it's so easy to become fixated on everything we want to change in our lives: our emotions, our bodies, jobs, the list goes on!

What if we embraced exactly where we are, right now?

This emotion pouring into another...another memory layering over something else...witnessing the blend of colors and welcoming every part of you to reveal itself.

What if we admired both the light and shadows dancing in a kaleidoscope of colors just below the surface of our skin?

Allowing ourselves to move beyond judgment and become a witness to the unique collage of emotions, sensations, colors, memories that are all vibrations nudging you to become more aware of the magic that's already here.

This collage of uniqueness is fleeting, ever-changing, always evolving. My intention with this body of work is to capture the dance of light and shadow, dark and bright emotions that we embody: to illuminate the beauty and the wisdom of the inner landscape.
